Frequently Asked Questions
Should I be embarrassed about my feet?
Don’t be too embarrassed to ask help. When your feet need attention, it really isn’t the right time to hide them away. Seek proper advice, attention or treatment at the right time to prevent issues from worsening and ensure your feet stay healthy
What should I do with my ingrowing toenail?
Ingrown toenails can be quite painful, especially if the toe becomes infected. To manage any swelling, you can soak your feet in a warm bath with Epsom salt. You should make an appointment for the ingrown toenail to be addressed with your practitioner before an infection develops or the condition becomes more painful.
Will my treatment hurt?
Most clients find their treatments relaxing! It is unusual for treatments to be painful, however you may experience discomfort when receiving treatment for some issues, such as ingrowing toe nails.
How often should I see a Foot Practitioner?
To keep your feet in tip top condition, we recommend patients book every 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 wks. Subject to patients foot requirements.
Are verrcuas/warts contiguous?
In respect, yes. If you have one on your feet, it would be unwise to pick at it and it can spread to someone else if that person has the potential towards getting that virus in the same way certain people have the potential for catching a certain cold. The wart virus likes to linger around moist environments such as pools, spas, locker rooms, public showers (such as those at the gym). Wearing flip flops or Crocs in these areas is always a good idea.
